Volunteer Emergency Telephone Service
The Council had an excellent response to its call for volunteers to respond to medical emergencies. The need for this was prompted by South East Coast Ambulance Service’s change in procedures, meaning that they may not be able to advise you how to access our defibrillators, depending on where you are in the village.
The system has now gone live. Just call the number and say whether you are north or south of the motorway.
The volunteers’ role is not limited to helping with defibs. For example if you are on your own, have a fall and can’t get up call the number and someone from V.E.T.S. can help you.
Make a note of the number or save it on your phone now: 01303 722141.
