Folkestone & Hythe District Council is the planning authority for most planning applications. Kent County Council is the authority for applications concerning Waste and Mineral extraction.
The planning authority will send letters to all neighbours and other residents and businesses which may be affected by a planning proposal. The latest planning applications affecting the village are listed in the side-bar on the right.
Stanford Parish Council is consulted on any planning applications for sites within the Parish and sometimes for those in neighbouring parishes. The Council has no veto over planning consents but the planning authority must take the parish council’s views into account. If you do wish to comment on a planning application, see here for how to do that. Please also speak to a parish councillor so that we are able to reflect the views of residents in any response we make.
You will find the parish council’s responses to contentious applications on this site. All comments are published on F&HDC’s site.
